Your mission

Ramp-up the next generation of Battery recycling plants:

You support the operations team in ramp-up projects for new cylib sites, including preparing plans, tracking milestones and following up on open points.
You prepare presentations, meeting agendas, and other management documentation for C-Level.

Connect circularity with operational excellence:

You collect, structure and analyse operational data from production and site activities.
You develop optimisation approaches for production KPIs and help identify improvement opportunities.
You connect circularity targets with operational excellence by contributing to efficient and resource-conscious production processes.
You create, maintain and improve process documentation, standard operating procedures and work instructions.
You contribute your own ideas to continuously improve operational processes, reporting and ways of working.

Your profile

You are currently enrolled in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, process engineering, business engineering or a comparable field.
Ideally, you bring initial practical or academic experience in production, operational excellence, or process optimisation – for example through an internship.
You have good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
You are interested in battery recycling, industrial production or the process industry.
You work in a structured, reliable and independent way and keep track of multiple tasks at the same time.
You enjoy working with operational data and translating analyses into practical improvement opportunities.
You communicate confidently in English; German skills are a plus.
You are available for 12–20 hours per week over a period of at least six months and are willing to travel occasionally.

About us

cylib is a German battery recycling company that emerged from research at RWTH Aachen University in 2022. With an integrated network of sites, we bring together research and development at our headquarters in Aachen, dismantling and mechanical processing in Wernberg-Köblitz, and hydrometallurgical processing in Dormagen (in ramp-up). Our goal: building a resilient European value chain through the recovery of high-quality materials for sustainable batteries.

With our innovative OLiC technology (Optimized Lithium and Graphite Recovery), we recover over 90% of the contained raw materials – with a CO₂ footprint that is 80% lower than conventional processes. Towards the realization of a true circular economy in the European market.
