Your mission

At cylib, we are not just building a factory – we are defining the blueprint for the future of battery recycling. As IT Product Manager for our production systems, you will be one of the key digital architects of this mission. Here is what awaits you:

You are the strategic lead and driving force for your product area. You take full ownership of one or more production systems (e.g., LIMS, Maintenance, or Quality Management), develop the vision, and implement it with conviction.
You are the digital partner for our future production operations. Together with the Operations and Engineering teams, you design the production processes of tomorrow and embed digital efficiency from day one.
You actively shape the system landscape. You know the market for modern production IT, make well-founded make-or-buy decisions, and steer our implementation partners towards shared success.
You create and own the product roadmap. You gather requirements from all stakeholders, align them with business objectives, and make the necessary prioritization decisions to deliver maximum value.
You are the guarantor of seamless integration. In close collaboration with our Enterprise Architect, you ensure that your systems are perfectly connected to our cloud architecture and core systems such as SAP S/4HANA.

Your profile

You bring several years of professional experience (4–6 years) in IT product management, demanding IT project management, or as a business analyst for complex applications.
You have already successfully led the introduction and further development of business applications (ideally in production environments such as LIMS, CMMS, or QMS). You no longer just want to manage – you want to shape things from the ground up.
You understand the concepts of modern IT architectures (e.g., APIs, data flows) and are a competent sparring partner for our architects, translating the requirements of your product effectively.
You are a master communicator who effortlessly bridges worlds – production, engineering, IT, and management – aligning diverse interests towards a common goal.
Experience in the process industry (chemicals, pharma, or similar) as well as knowledge of SAP S/4HANA are a strong plus, but your ability as a product creator is what convinces us most.
You communicate confidently in both German and English.

About us

cylib is a research-based German scaleup for holistic battery recycling - starting from discharging to recovery of all components of the lithium battery - that was founded in Aachen in 2022 by three visionary founders, including a female CEO.

Our process

The cylib process offers a complete end-to-end process from battery pack to green battery material by employing a combination of mechanical and thermal pre-treatments and an innovative water-based lithium and graphite recovery. Unlike incumbents, cylib can therefore recover battery materials such as lithium, graphite or manganese. The process was developed over several years of research at the renown RWTH Aachen University and offers an efficient, resource- and climate friendly recovery of all battery materials from end-of-life batteries.

cylib's technology enables the recovery of all battery components regardless of whether it is an end-of-life battery or not. Recovery of green secondary raw materials from the cylib process enables the realization of the true Circular Economy on the European market.

Bei cylib bauen wir nicht nur eine Fabrik – wir definieren die Blaupause für das Batterie-Recycling der Zukunft. Als IT-Produktmanager für unsere Produktionssysteme bist du einer der digitalen Schlüsselarchitekten dieser Mission. Konkret erwartet dich:

Du bist der strategische Kopf und treibende Motor für deinen Produktbereich. Du übernimmst die volle Verantwortung für ein oder mehrere Produktionssysteme (z.B. LIMS, Maintenance oder Quality Management), entwickelst die Vision und setzt sie konsequent um.
Du bist der digitale Partner für unsere zukünftige Produktion. Gemeinsam mit den Operations- und Engineering-Teams entwirfst du die Produktionsprozesse von morgen und verankerst digitale Effizienz von der ersten Sekunde an.
Du gestaltest die Systemlandschaft aktiv mit. Du kennst den Markt für moderne Produktions-IT, triffst fundierte "Make-or-Buy"-Entscheidungen und steuerst unsere Implementierungspartner zum gemeinsamen Erfolg.
Du erstellst und verantwortest die Produkt-Roadmap. Du sammelst Anforderungen von allen Stakeholdern, gleichst sie mit den Geschäftszielen ab und triffst die notwendigen Priorisierungsentscheidungen, um maximalen Wert zu liefern.
Du bist der Garant für ein nahtloses Zusammenspiel. In enger Abstimmung mit unserem Enterprise Architect stellst du sicher, dass deine Systeme perfekt in unsere Cloud-Architektur und an Kernsysteme wie SAP S/4HANA angebunden sind.

Dein Profil

Du bringst mehrere Jahre (4-6 Jahre) Berufserfahrung im IT-Produktmanagement, anspruchsvollen IT-Projektmanagement oder als Business Analyst für komplexe Anwendungen mit.
Du hast bereits erfolgreich die Einführung und Weiterentwicklung von Business-Applikationen (idealerweise im Produktionsumfeld wie LIMS, CMMS, QMS) verantwortet. Du willst nicht mehr nur verwalten, sondern von Grund auf gestalten.
Du verstehst die Konzepte moderner IT-Architekturen (z.B. APIs, Datenflüsse) und bist ein kompetenter Gesprächspartner für unsere Architekten, um die Anforderungen deines Produkts zu übersetzen.
Du bist ein Meister der Kommunikation, der zwischen den Welten – Produktion, Engineering, IT und Management – mühelos vermittelt und unterschiedliche Interessen auf ein gemeinsames Ziel ausrichtet.
Erfahrung in der Prozessindustrie (Chemie, Pharma o.ä.) sowie Kenntnisse in SAP S/4HANA sind ein starkes Plus, aber deine Fähigkeit als Produktgestalter überzeugt uns mehr.
Du kommunizierst sicher auf Deutsch und Englisch.

Changing the game

cylib ist ein forschungsbasiertes deutsches Scale Up für ganzheitliches Batterierecycling - von der Entladung bis zur Rückgewinnung aller Komponenten der Lithiumbatterie - das 2022 in Aachen von drei visionären Gründern, darunter einer weiblichen Geschäftsführerin, gegründet wurde.

Unser Prozess

Der cylib-Prozess bietet einen kompletten End-to-End-Prozess vom Batteriepack bis zum grünen Batteriematerial, indem es eine Kombination aus mechanischer und thermischer Vorbehandlung sowie eine innovative Lithium- und Graphitrückgewinnung auf Wasserbasis einsetzt. Im Gegensatz zu den etablierten Unternehmen kann cylib daher Batteriematerialien wie Lithium, Graphit oder Mangan zurückgewinnen. Das Verfahren wurde in mehrjähriger Forschungsarbeit an der RWTH Aachen entwickelt und bietet eine effiziente, ressourcen- und klimafreundliche Rückgewinnung aller Batteriematerialien aus Altbatterien.

Die Technologie von cylib ermöglicht die Rückgewinnung aller Batteriekomponenten, unabhängig davon, ob es sich um eine End-of-Life-Batterie oder Produktionsausschuss handelt. Die Rückgewinnung grüner Sekundärrohstoffe aus dem cylib-Prozess ermöglicht die Verwirklichung einer echten Kreislaufwirtschaft auf dem europäischen Markt.
