Working Student (m/f/d) Strategy & Corporate Development in Scale-Up for Battery Recycling

Your mission

You will conduct comprehensive market, industry, and competitor analyses to support the ongoing development and refinement of our corporate strategy.
You visualize and analyze data from market research and translate them into clear strategic recommendations.
You create high-quality presentations and documents, including pitch decks, briefings, and memos.
You drive key fundraising activities and investor relations tasks, including preparing investor updates, supporting due-diligence documentation, and maintaining investor materials.
You support the founding team in shaping internal processes and communication, by developing strategies and materials behind internal formats across various channels to keep the team aligned with the corporate strategy.
You develop and implement culture formats that strengthen company values, enhance transparency, and foster a growth mindet across the organization.

Your profile

You are passionate, reliable, and collaborative in how you think and work, making you excellent.
You are currently enrolled in a Master’s program in Business Management, Strategy, or Entrepreneurship.
You bring experience from fast-paced environments such as startups or venture capital — this is the pace in which you thrive.
You are informed and question the status quo, bringing curiosity to learn and contribute your ideas, whether in market and macro topics or internal structures.
You work independently and hands-on, combining strong communication skills with the agility to handle a wide range of tasks flexibly and efficiently.
You communicate fluently in written and spoken German and English — and you enjoy strategic communication.
You can support us for at least 6 months and are available for 14-20 hours per week.

About us

cylib is a research-based German scaleup for holistic battery recycling - starting from discharging to recovery of all components of the lithium battery - that was founded in Aachen in 2022 by three visionary founders, including a female CEO.

Our process

The cylib process offers a complete end-to-end process from battery pack to green battery material by employing a combination of mechanical and thermal pre-treatments and an innovative water-based lithium and graphite recovery. Unlike incumbents, cylib can therefore recover battery materials such as lithium, graphite or manganese. The process was developed over several years of research at the renown RWTH Aachen University and offers an efficient, resource- and climate friendly recovery of all battery materials from end-of-life batteries.

cylib's technology enables the recovery of all battery components regardless of whether it is an end-of-life battery or not. Recovery of green secondary raw materials from the cylib process enables the realization of the true Circular Economy on the European market.

Du führst umfassende Markt-, Branchen- und Wettbewerbsanalysen durch, um die kontinuierliche Entwicklung und Verfeinerung unserer Unternehmensstrategie zu unterstützen.
Du visualisierst und analysierst Daten aus der Marktforschung und übersetzt sie in klare strategische Handlungsempfehlungen.

Du treibst zentrale Fundraising-Aktivitäten und Investor-Relations-Aufgaben voran, einschließlich der Erstellung von Investor-Updates, der Unterstützung bei Due-Diligence-Dokumentationen und der Pflege von Investorenunterlagen.
Du unterstützt das Gründerteam bei der Gestaltung interner Prozesse und Kommunikation, indem du Strategien und Materialien für interne Formate über verschiedene Kanäle entwickelst, um das Team mit der Unternehmensstrategie im Einklang zu halten.
Du entwickelst und implementierst Kulturformate, die die Unternehmenswerte stärken, Transparenz erhöhen und eine Wachstumsmentalität in der gesamten Organisation fördern.

Dein Profil

Du bist leidenschaftlich, zuverlässig und kollaborativ in deiner Denk- und Arbeitsweise – das macht dich exzellent.
Du bist aktuell in einem Masterstudium in Business Management, Strategie oder Entrepreneurship eingeschrieben.
Du bringst Erfahrung aus dynamischen Umfeldern wie Startups oder Venture Capital mit – das ist das Tempo, in dem du aufblühst.
Du bist informiert und hinterfragst den Status quo, bringst Neugier mit, um zu lernen und deine Ideen einzubringen, sei es zu Markt- und Makrothemen oder internen Strukturen.

Changing the game

cylib ist ein forschungsbasiertes deutsches Scale Up für ganzheitliches Batterierecycling - von der Entladung bis zur Rückgewinnung aller Komponenten der Lithiumbatterie - das 2022 in Aachen von drei visionären Gründern, darunter einer weiblichen Geschäftsführerin, gegründet wurde.

Unser Prozess

Der cylib-Prozess bietet einen kompletten End-to-End-Prozess vom Batteriepack bis zum grünen Batteriematerial, indem es eine Kombination aus mechanischer und thermischer Vorbehandlung sowie eine innovative Lithium- und Graphitrückgewinnung auf Wasserbasis einsetzt. Im Gegensatz zu den etablierten Unternehmen kann cylib daher Batteriematerialien wie Lithium, Graphit oder Mangan zurückgewinnen. Das Verfahren wurde in mehrjähriger Forschungsarbeit an der RWTH Aachen entwickelt und bietet eine effiziente, ressourcen- und klimafreundliche Rückgewinnung aller Batteriematerialien aus Altbatterien.

Die Technologie von cylib ermöglicht die Rückgewinnung aller Batteriekomponenten, unabhängig davon, ob es sich um eine End-of-Life-Batterie oder Produktionsausschuss handelt. Die Rückgewinnung grüner Sekundärrohstoffe aus dem cylib-Prozess ermöglicht die Verwirklichung einer echten Kreislaufwirtschaft auf dem europäischen Markt.
