Your mission

You will assume strategic responsibility for procurement, in particular for indirect materials and services in the field of battery recycling.
You will ensure that all procurement processes run efficiently, cost-effectively and on time.
You will develop comprehensive product group strategies, conduct negotiations and implement framework agreements.
You will develop a sustainable and value-adding supplier base to ensure the company's long-term competitiveness.
You will carry out market analyses, accompany RFI and RFQ processes and develop targeted procurement strategies based on these.
You will review, analyze and optimize technical specifications in order to develop procurement alternatives.
You will prepare, conduct and follow up on supplier negotiations, contract drafting and supplier audits.
You will be responsible for the management of ad-hoc procurements and the strategic management of contract disruptions to ensure the continuity and resilience of the supply chain.
You are responsible for strategic and operational categories and for optimal procurement in terms of costs, quality and adherence to deadlines.

Your profile

You have several years of professional experience in strategic purchasing, particularly in the area of indirect materials.
You have a degree in technical or commercial studies or a comparable qualification, such as a technical apprenticeship (master craftsman/technician), which provides you with a sound basis for strategic technical purchasing.
You have a deep knowledge of contract law and apply it confidently to ensure reliable and legally compliant procurement processes.
You use your strong technical understanding and analytical skills to precisely process complex requirements and technical specifications and develop solutions.
You are confident in using ERP programs and common MS Office applications.
You demonstrate initiative, assertiveness and strong communication skills.
You bring flexibility and adaptability to our dynamic environment.
You round off your profile with business fluent German and English.

About us

cylib is a research-based German startup for holistic battery recycling - starting from discharging to recovery of all components of the lithium battery - that was founded in Aachen in 2022 by three visionary founders, including a female CEO.

Our process

The cylib process offers a complete end-to-end process from battery pack to green battery material by employing a combination of mechanical and thermal pre-treatments and an innovative water-based lithium and graphite recovery. Unlike incumbents, cylib can therefore recover battery materials such as lithium, graphite or manganese. The process was developed over several years of research at the renown RWTH Aachen University and offers an efficient, resource- and climate friendly recovery of all battery materials from end-of-life batteries.

cylib's technology enables the recovery of all battery components regardless of whether it is an end-of-life battery or not. Recovery of green secondary raw materials from the cylib process enables the realization of the true Circular Economy on the European market.

Du entwickelst umfassende Warengruppenstrategien, führst Verhandlungen und implementierst Rahmenverträge.
Du entwickelst eine nachhaltige und wertschöpfende Lieferantenbasis, um die Wettbewerbsfähigkeit des Unternehmens langfristig zu sichern.
Du führst Marktanalysen durch, begleitest RFI- und RFQ-Prozesse und entwickelst darauf basierend gezielte Beschaffungsstrategien.
Du überprüfst, analysierst und optimierst technische Spezifikationen, um Beschaffungsalternativen zu entwickeln.
Du bereitest Lieferantenverhandlungen, Vertragsgestaltungen und Lieferantenaudits vor, führst sie durch und bereitest sie nach.
Du übernimmst das Management von ad-hoc Beschaffungen und die strategische Steuerung bei Vertragsstörungen, um die Kontinuität und Resilienz der Lieferkette zu gewährleisten.
Du trägst die Verantwortung für strategische und operative Kategorien und für eine optimale Beschaffung hinsichtlich Kosten, Qualität und Termintreue.

Dein Profil

Du hast mehrjährige Berufserfahrung im strategischen Einkauf, insbesondere im Bereich der indirekten Materialien.
Du verfügst über ein abgeschlossenes technisches oder kaufmännisches Studium oder eine vergleichbare Qualifikation, wie z.B. eine technische Ausbildung (Meister/Techniker), die dir eine fundierte Grundlage für den strategischen technischen Einkauf bietet.
Du hast fundierte Kenntnisse im Vertragsrecht und wendest diese sicher an, um verlässliche und rechtssichere Beschaffungsprozesse zu gewährleisten.
Du nutzt dein ausgeprägtes technisches Verständnis und deine analytischen Fähigkeiten, um komplexe Anforderungen und technische Spezifikationen präzise zu bearbeiten und Lösungen zu entwickeln.
Du bist sicher im Umgang mit ERP-Programmen und den gängigen MS-Office-Anwendungen.
Du überzeugst durch Eigeninitiative, Durchsetzungsvermögen und Kommunikationsstärke.
Für unser dynamisches Umfeld bringst du Flexibilität und Anpassungsfähigkeit mit.
Dein Profil rundest du ab mit verhandlungssicheren Deutsch- und Englischkenntnissen ab.

Unser Prozess

Der cylib-Prozess bietet einen kompletten End-to-End-Prozess vom Batteriepack bis zum grünen Batteriematerial, indem es eine Kombination aus mechanischer und thermischer Vorbehandlung sowie eine innovative Lithium- und Graphitrückgewinnung auf Wasserbasis einsetzt. Im Gegensatz zu den etablierten Unternehmen kann cylib daher Batteriematerialien wie Lithium, Graphit oder Mangan zurückgewinnen. Das Verfahren wurde in mehrjähriger Forschungsarbeit an der RWTH Aachen entwickelt und bietet eine effiziente, ressourcen- und klimafreundliche Rückgewinnung aller Batteriematerialien aus Altbatterien.

Die Technologie von cylib ermöglicht die Rückgewinnung aller Batteriekomponenten, unabhängig davon, ob es sich um eine End-of-Life-Batterie oder Produktionsausschuss handelt. Die Rückgewinnung grüner Sekundärrohstoffe aus dem cylib-Prozess ermöglicht die Verwirklichung einer echten Kreislaufwirtschaft auf dem europäischen Markt.
